During the Spring Film Series of 1997 we introduced our new projector that made us look better than ever! What used to be a never-ending series of changeovers using antique equipment has become a seamless process using our new Eike xenon bulb projector and long play reel system.
Since then, the SFFS purchased a new sound system helping us sound better than ever, and now our features are portable! We took our show on the road this summer, projecting films every Wednesday in the parking lot of the Sioux Falls Brewing Company. We're looking forward to finding more venues to show our films. Summer Movie Madness at the Sioux Falls Brewing Company - Shooting from the back of the brew pub catering van to a painted screen across the parking lot, SFFS projectionists feature popular titles such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Big Lebowski and The Meaning of Life. SFFS also constructed a make-shift drive-in at the Centerville Antique Auto Show (American Graffiti), and a Society film presentation was "raffled-off" as a prize for a local fund raising activity. |
