A non-profit organization formed in 1995, the Sioux Falls Film Society presents art, foreign, and independently-made films to our region. We produce two film series each year in fulfillment of this mission--one series in the fall and one in the spring.
Some of our financial support for these series comes from other activities, such as showing of lighter fare movies at the Brew Pub during the summer. We've also begun taking our show on the road to show outdoor movies in some of the smaller towns around Sioux Falls. In cooperation with the Sioux Falls Community Playhouse, we've now producing winter classics series' at the Playhouse.
Join our highly acclaimed cast! We don't give Oscars, but you get lots of attention and other exciting social opportunities! A membership helps feed a film hungry community as we seek more ways to bring in those "but it will never come here" films.
Other member benefits include: special showings for members, voting privileges for the Film Series titles, and a newsletter.
You are part of a very active membership when you join the Sioux Falls Film Society. Member volunteers run the projector, take tickets, host the member events, select the films for each series and, at the Annual Meeting in May, vote on board nominees. Please join us!
The cost is $15 for an individual and
$25 for a family membership.

The Sioux Falls Film Society is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, so your contribution is tax deductible.
Running Crew donors are a source of revenue who help support alternative film in Sioux Falls.
In addition to Running Crew contributions, generous contributions are made in support of our February membership event in the form of items used in our silent auction, as well as contributions made to support specific events such as summer Movie Madness and the Library of Congress Film Preservation Tour.
